Well, for those of you that don't want to buy The Artist's "Emancipation" album, a very brief summary: On my player (even using headphones - sometimes I find I can hear indistinct noises better using them), Kate is barely audible, and certainly not as recognisable as on Big Country's "The Seer" or Go West's "The King Is Dead". The song is very catchy, and even though Kate's part is minimal I like it. You have to listen very carefully for her; she sings the same lines as The Artist, and their voices seem to blend somewhat (unlike her part on "The Seer"). Actually, the first time I listened to the song, I could have sworn that The Artist sang: "...somebody to talk to, furry and bright". Does anybody out there have the album "The Seer"? I got the track on Big Country's greatest hits album, so I've only heard the tracks on that. Is the rest of the album as good as the title track? Alan.
