hate to post Kate Kontent amidst the apalling barrage of spam, but... has anyone read the review of the HoL rerelease in the latest (September cover date) issue of the Brit music glossy Q? It's a pretty well-researched, knowledgable look at the album both musically and historically. except: --the jig of life is singled out as the one bad cut --kate's career since HoL is summed up as sensual world=disappointing and TRS=had its moments. the only other criticism of HoL, per se, is of the use of drum machines. but, surprisingly, considering the seemingly negative concensus about TNW among non-kate fans, this critic actually liked it. brian dillardb@pilot.msu.edu p.s. b/c of digest distribution problems i never received the original message about a new album for '98 being unlikely. could someone repost or email me privately with this info? on whose authority is that forecast made?
