Howdy Hownds -

I've lost the original message about whether Kate's looks made her a
success, as well as a follow-up message (sorry, everyone, I'm a Mac bull
stumbling around in a PC china shop). But for what it's worth, (1) I've
been a hound for about two years now (started on a whim with TD after
David Toop referenced it in an interview, and dang I'm glad!!) (2) my
only prior knowledge of Kate was very dim memories of the vidoes for
Cloudbusting and Experiment IV, and you can hardly say she's at her most
attractive in these! and (3) I'm gay, and she could look like Newt
Gingrich for all I care. (uh, well maybe not Newt, but you get the
gist.)

Sure, I was socialized like every other presumed-straight man in the
Western world to recognize what is "supposed to be" attractive in a
women, and sure, I can see that Kate fits the bill by most criteria.
But it makes/made/will make no difference to me. I just hope she never
stops making music, no matter how long the wait between albums.

Are there actually any Hounds out there who listen to her primarily
because she's "hot"?
