I wish to relate a brief Kate-related experience I had in 1987.

I was at the Tanglewood Music Center in Lenox, MA, and was rehearsing with
Oliver Knussen, a British composer ("Where the Wild Things Are") who was
conducting our ensemble for the annual Festival of Contemporary Music
there. I so happened to be wearing a t-shirt bearing her name and the
photo from the back cover of Hounds of Love. Knussen spoke with me
afterwards and said his brother was a bassist who was a big fan of KB,
adding that his brother first introduced him to her music. Mr. Knussen
said her use of complex chords and chordal progressions were most
impressive.

I think it's great that she has garnered respect in the classical world as well!

That's all. I thought it was worth sharing.
