I'd give her credit based on that fact alone. At least she's lightened
up a bit. Even though I have the album, I've only listened to it three
or so times. While I gave it a chance, none of the melodies or song
structures stood out for me. Instantly forgettable. I listen to Kate
to hear some lushness and seductiveness (like in HOL and TSW), and I
found TRS lacking in both departments.  Here's hoping she goes back to
her "bread-and-butter."
