And in the golden years of science fiction fandom there was the
insidious "Twonk's disease", brought about by too much fannish
activity, e.g. publishing zines.  The name was thought to derive from
the sound of a Gestetner mimeograph machine.  The symptoms?  There...
aren't any.  That's one of the reasons it's insidious...
