jennifer sherry <jsherry@hngorin.mhs.compuserve.com> asks: >I'm getting married at the end of August and the organist for the >ceremony said she'd be willing to adapt popular music to the >ceremony setting. The DJ for the reception said he would play >any songs we want as long as we can supply them on tape of CD, if >he doesn't have them. >So here's the question: >Do you, the Love-Hound community, have any suggestions? or Have >any of you done this already? Hmmm, I get asked this question every two years or so, and every time I have even more fun answering it. Here's my 1994 list: 1. Tori Amos - Me and a Gun (Also good: The Specials - The Boiler) 2. Coil - Tainted Love 3. Anything by Joy Division 4. ABC - Poison Arrow 5. Tracy Chapman - Outside the Wall (I think O.J. Simpson played this at his wedding). 6. Laibach - Sympathy for the Devil 7. Anything by The Smiths 8. J.S. Bach - Toccada in D Minor (Always a good choice for any occaison) 9. Depeche Mode - Master & Servant 10. X-Ray Spex - Oh Bondage, Up Yours - Stev0 the only slightly cynical "Um, Steve, *I'M* picking the music for our wedding." - my girlfriend
