Subject: This Woman's Work Box Set (Japanese Version)
To: love-hounds@eddie.mit.edu
Well, I went out and did it over the weekend. Aomeba records in Berkeley, Ca had no less than SEVEN (yes SEVEN) copies of the boxed set, all Japanese imports. Mine came in a small (6" x 7" x 6") black box with a black label emblazoned with the KaTe Fem logo and the words "This Woman's Work -- Kate Bush 1978 - 1990". It also has a little flyer attached (in Kanji) which mentions the fact that 2 disc are of "previously unavalible" works. Yes, all the text is in japanese, but there's nothing in it you can't get from here, and the discs are all black with yellow text. Also, the cover art is just a little different than the US releases, i.e. TKI cover is different, Lionheart is a much sharper photo, NfE is a close up, HoL is pink (not purple) Sensual World has a different airbush pattern in the background (no Kate Fem). I have played the death out of Vol 1 and Vol2, I missed hearing these since my collection of 45's were stolen. Oh, the price -- $138 - $174 (they weren't all labeled the same). They also have a bunch KaTe collectibles like the funky interview 45 (shaped like KaTe). Nice people too, its very busy. Aomeba Records on Telegraph across from Cody's books. No, I don't work for/with/at Aomeba, I just like the place. Troy Shadbolt "BANG!! goes another kanga' on the bonnet of the van"
