Ahhhh, I first saw Kate on the original airing of the Saturday Night
Live episode, singing _The_Man_with_the_Child_in_His_Eyes_. Blew me
away, visually and aurally! But I really didn't hear any more Kate at
all until one day, for no apparent reason, I bought the "On Stage" EP
with a few songs from Hammersmith. Still only listened to that
intermittently, then, again for no apparent reason, my wife picked up a
cassette copy of _Hounds_of_Love_  at a garage sale. We started
listening to it in the car on a cross country trip a little over a year
ago and bag, the hook was finally set We practically wore out that
tape, it probably got more mileage than the car going back and forth on
its spool (4000 mi for the car). Don't know why it took so long, but
She wouldn't leave me alone!

I still don't have all her albums -- I'm waiting until I can affor da CD
player until I start dumping money into new stuff. In a sense, it is
kind of nice, because there's still so much stuff I haven't heard
before.
