I feel the opposite I think there are some brilliant songs on the first
one, most notably "Zimbabwe" but I never can listen to it as a whole. HoH
only has one or two songs that I might skip over. This album is much
more emotionally intense, and yesterday I listened to it twice all the
way through, then 3 more times in random repeat. It certainly works
for me.

I've come to love every single song. Even "Steam" though it's still my
least favorite on the album.
