I am not shaun@iris.mincom.oz.au (Man in Polyester Suit). I didn't say:
>Whilst on the subject, I heard of a Japanese-only Dax recording (LP or
>CD I don't know - back in '87 or '88) called "The Chemical Wedding".
>I _think_ that at the time it was the only place to get some new song
>called "Cat-House" (could be wrong though!). Was my information off,
>and it was actually referring to "...Golden Spires" in a pre-release
>(or whatever) title, or has anybody heard of an object like this.

I own it. It's a curious little item. Here's the poop:

1. Touch Piggy's Eyes - same as on Cat House B-side and Dark Adapted Eye
(henceforth referred to as DAE)

2. Whistling For His Love - different from DAE version.

3. Olamal - instrumental piece; I think it was a B-side, but I forget where
it's from.

4. Muzzles - B-side to Big Hollow Man 12". Great song.

5. Cat-House - different version from 12" singles and DAE! Slightly slower,
and in a lower key as well.

6. Up In Arms - same as B-side (originally on the Where The Flies Are 12" I
think)

7. When I Was Young - same as B-side and DAE version, although I think it
sounds a little hissier than the DAE version.

8. Passing Of The Third Floor Back - longer than the version on the Big
Hollow Man 12" but apparently from the same master.

>Oh, and did the UATGS have a Holly Warburton cover (a good enough reason
>to seek out those old 12" singles on their own)?

Yeah but it wasn't anywhere near as great as the Cat-House one (one of my
all time favorite record covers).

I really wish I had bought UATGS last time I saw it. :(
