It is, in all truth, better to send mail to Love-Hounds yourself,
the old-fashioned way, than to rely upon the news software to send it
for you.  There are too many possible problems and things that can go
wrong with the news software, but if you send mail (which is all the
news software does -- theoretically -- anyway) you've got a pretty
good idea that the message did actually get sent.
