Okay..."Rum, Sodomy, and the Lash" and "If I Should Fall From Grace With
God" are two excellent albums from the Pogues. I'd suggest buying them on
CD to get the bonus songs and the lyrics (my record of "Rum..." doesn't have
the lyrics, while the CD does)...I don't have their new release, "Hell's
Ditch", but I've heard nothing but good reviews for it.
If anyone's not aquainted with the Pogues, they are a band that came from
the depths of punk music to perform a sort of unique Irish/Rock style.
Try to think of "Jig of Life" with a guy with a sore throat screaming the
lyrics...
While I'm on the subject, can anyone recommend any good Irish bands?
My sister has a CD by Kornog, and a cassette by Relativity...
Oh yeah, my sister and I figured out the notes to "Jig of Life", so now we
can play together: she plays the flute and I play the violin...
My sister even made a transcription on staff paper...
"Jig of Life" has to be one of my all-time favorite Kate songs...

"Whatever" says SLENDER FUNGUS as he tries to mimick Teflon Nonstick.
