Unfortunately, I have also found this to be true.  Almost all the KB
bootlegs I have run across are pretty bad audience recordings.  The only
exceptions to this I know of are the boots of video tape soundtracks (Xmas
Show, Hammersmith) and the occassional studio demos.  I hear that PASSING
THROUGH AIR is pretty good (I don't have it.), but it's mostly singles and
B-sides.  I do have a boot of a German HOL tour show which is either from a
broadcast or the board, but it suffers from some pretty heavy distortion.
