Heard on the radio this morning (KXLU, since I'm driving the San Diego Fryway) that the legendary Germs demos produced by Jack Nietzsche have been release on an Austrialian label (the address given was in Melbourne). A couple of these songs were on the _Cruising_ soundtrack and live versions appear on _What We Do is Secret_. I know these cuts are great cause Rodney Bingenhiemer (too-tendy LA DJ) has played some of 'em. Has anybody seen this record? What songs are on it? How do I get a copy?? Fear add: I doubt that Belushi had anything to do with "I Love Living in the City" cause they were performing it long before he discovered punk rock. I think it was their first (ultra rare) self produced single (b/w "Must have been something you said (now you're dead")). Belushi did work with them on "Neighbors" (c.f. _Wired_), another bunch of demos that vanished into thin air. Upcoming: Dag Nasty, Uniform Choice @ Fenders Butthole Surfers @ Variety Arts Soul Asylum @ UCLA (3/30 @ A-Level, Noon for those in the neighborhood).
