The fact that Diana was dating Dodi Al Fayed and thinking seriously of
marrying him is proof  enough that she's a 'cutesy airhead'.  Dodi was a
shallow playboy who went through women like most people go through toilet
paper.  He used them and threw them away.  It was almost certain that he
would have eventually tired of Diana as well.  At least til he got what he
wanted from the british royal family.  I can't imagine Kate becoming
involved with someone so shallow as Dodi.
