This is not a whose better Kate or Diana? debate. Can't one respect Kate and respect Diana without comparing the two? It is so like Western society to pit two successful women against each other, as if only one can be the best. Diana, (the cutesy, talentedless, airhead) has brought awareness of many social issues to the mass public, and has raised millions of dollars for charity. I hardly call her efforts mediocre. Why can't we appreciate this for what it is, and nothing more. Kate would not want a state funeral. Kate is a talented artist and is indeed brillant. I am sure she herself would cringe at reading Morris's post. I found Kate's music to be a comfort after Diana's death. Mary (due with baby girl Catherine in Jan. 98)
