To the person who inquired, Breaking Glass came out in 1982, according to this book I happen to possess, called New Women in Rock! I was playing at a bookstore a couple of years ago (I'm an ecto/gaffa kind of singer/songwriter/pianist) and it happened to be behind the stage area, propped up on a shelf. I immediately claimed it for my own. It was published in 1982 and is the most amazing collection of women at that point in time: Hazel O' Connor, Sheena Easton, B-52's, Annie Lennox, The Roches, Marianne Faithfull, Jayne (!) County, Cherry Vanilla, Joan Armatrading, The Raincoats, Nina Hagen, Lene Lovich, Patti Smith, and many many many more, including KATE! If enough people are interested and I have some free time, I could type up and post the article about Kate - it was written as she was working on her third album. Just let me know...
