For those of you who are keeping up with VRML, the new VRML 2.0 language which includes animation nodes is now functional. You will need a 2.0 browser such as CosmoPlayer from http://vrml.sgi.com I have added a VRML 2.0 world, Isle of the Jeenix to the KateWorlds page at http://fly.hiwaay.net/~cbullard or if you want to skip the index, http://fly.hiwaay.net/~cbullard/jeenix.wrl There are no textures, so the initial scene will load fairly quickly. The sound files and midi file take a little while but aren't bad overall. You will load inside the flying saucer and two of the controls inside are active for controlling flight. Alternately, you can use the right mouse button to click on viewpoints and go to the Temple on the isle where the sacred harp of the Talosians is guarded by the Jeenix. These were the pets of the Princess. The Talosians declared the site sacred because they are too chicken to defy the Jeenix and try to retrieve it. It plays a nice Debussy piece if you click on it. If the wavs weren't so big, I would put Kate's The Women of Ireland there. But midi is just smaller. Don't feed the birds. If you watch for a bit, the mood will change as the orbiting moon changes the light and shadow patterns. Enjoy. len bullard
