I have been reading the mail regarding "The Ninth Wave" and find it interesting. My own theory about it is that it does not necessarily need to be interpreted in a literal sense, i.e that it is about a drowning person. I prefer to read it as situation about the emotional/psychological "drowning" a person may experience at times of great trauma in one's life. Whether that was KaTe's intent or not perhaps doesn't matter. It is what each individual gets from a song/piece of music that matters, and this is what makes music so beautiful and fascinating. We each interpret according to our own life' experiences. KaTe has referred in interview to the strong emotions roused by watching the film "The Cruel Sea", and this does indeed have parallels. However, I just thought I would add a different slant onto the discussion. Just a thought. Bright Blessings Krys
