Rolf Peukert asks if Kate has ever given an official statement about the various the various home demo bootlegs "...or in HOMEGROUND..." The answer is that she has never addressed the point directly. Generally Kate does not seem to like any unofficial tresspassing on any element of her career, and consequently she does not seem to like the idea of bootlegs. Where she can take action, i.e. against the threatened release of "The Early Years", she does. As I understand it, Kate would prefer that what she regards as her unfinished, unpolished, infantile sketches were not in the public domain. This is one area where Kate's wishes and the natural desires of fans are in direct opposition. As these things exist and fans collect them, HOMEGROUND reports them. They won't cease to exist because we don't report them. -- Peter FitzGerald-Morris HOMEGROUND The Kate Bush Fanzine PO Box 176 Orpington Kent BR5 3NA England
