Przakly.  The mind plays tricks!  The accent in "Columbia" comes
on the LUM, and the C isn't very hard (I'm not a linguist but
I'm an anthropologist...trust me, as Indiana Jones said), so
one could hear a sort of "w'lum (pause) at nine times the speed
of sound", which is what I hear when I play the tape on my basic
Chevy "sound system" in traffic.  On the CD in a quiet room,
it's "Columbia."  Sorta like when you hear "'s gweet" you know
it means "let's go eat"--it's a brain thang.
