Well there was certainly a good deal of laughter in the audience and
Mr Paxman also laughed but it was hard to tell whether he got the
reference or whether it was just one of his normal snide laughs
when a team is nowhere near the answer.

BTW, Imperial went on to win the final and Paxman referred to them
as "the most single-minded team in the competition", which in
Paxman terms probably translates to a bunch of swots!
