   Well, FM drops to mono depending on the tuning...lots of receivers have  
"mono switches" to reduce the signal to mono to reduce noise. And cassette
decks, if not properly aligned can be reduced to delivering a mono signal...

   The "Dreaming Effect" depends on a clear *stereo* signal, and will have no 
effect at all on a mono signal. I don't want to "dis" your stereo, but...
