Okay, folks: Pretend for a minute that Kate has decided to record an album of songs written entirely by other people. Which songs would you like to hear her sing? My list: Jumpin' Jack Flash (Stones) I'm Down (Beatles) A Foggy Day in London Town (Who wrote this?) Tropical Hot Dog Night (Capt. Beefheart) Strictly Genteel (Frank Zappa) Stormy Weather White Christmas The Lady Don't Mind (Talking Heads) Tightrope (Leon Russell) My Pink Half of the Drainpipe (Bonzo Dog Band) Now, there's an album. While we're thinking about it, now pick artists and match them with a Kate song you'd like to hear them sing. How about: Annie Lennox: Moving The Chieftains w/ Nanci Griffith: Red Shoes Mick Jagger: Running Up That Hill Paul McCartney: Experiment IV Johnny Rotten: Get Out of My House Your turn.
