Hello, I forwarded that last love-hounds-digest that was a repeat of #90 from qmate to his postmaster and to the original posting sources ( didn't save, so don't remember specifics) . This is the response. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Thu, 28 Mar 1996 13:09:28 -0800 From: Brian Vowell <bvowell@bing.apple.com> To: Kerry White <zzkwhite@ktwu.wuacc.edu> Subject: Re: Large copies of previous posts There is a reason for this. We limit the size of messages and enclosures that come in and go out through the gateways. Anything that is in excess of 1mb is returned to sender and NOT processed. We have very limited resources, and our machines cannot process large messages from multiple users at once. We are currently processing in excess of 40,000 messages a day that pass through the gateways, and to allow large messages to process through would cause email services to grind to a halt for everyone. ........................................................... Does this make sense to anyone out there? KrW "Pastor Flash..are you all right?" "I'm ok, Bob, just a little argument with my co-pilot!"
