In a message dated 96-03-07 12:37:04 EST, you write: >I always thought (or maybe I read it here) that >Moments of Pleasure was a song about those KaTe has loved and have died. >She's really opening herself up in this song... it gets to me every time... In the past two weeks, I've grieved the losses of two friends. Just yesterday, I listened to Moments of Pleasure for the first time since these deaths and as I listened, I realized that is EXACTLY what Kate is singing about. I'd never thought about it much before. While I have always loved this song, for the first time, I seemed to really understand what Kate is singing. As I listened to her list of loved one's she's lost, faces of each of the loved one's I've lost in my life began to fill my mind and every note and every word of that song suddenly became the expressions of all the feelings I have for these people now. Although I doubt I will ever meet to Kate or speak with her, I did, for a fleeting moment, feel like she had seen right inside of me and was speaking every single one of her words straight out of the depths of my heart. I don't believe I can ever hear that song again without weeping...
