Haunted By Waters CD release party- Nov. 30, SF

X DOT 25 recording artists HAUNTED BY WATERS is having a CD release party
to celebrate their debut, "LIKE THE DUST", on November 30th at the
TRANSMISSION THEATER in San Francisco. The address is 314 11th St. near
Folsom next to the Paradise Lounge. Show starts at 9 pm.

This is going to be a fabulous show- HAUNTED BY WATERS is on the cutting
edge of progressive World Music. The music of HAUNTED BY WATERS is built
on a primal and infectious rhythmic background of Middle Eastern, African,
and Celtic rhythms and percussion. Weaving in lush vocals, rich melodies
and harmonies, and sensuous electronic textures, HAUNTED BY  WATERS create
a progressive, entrancing world sound. Add fretless electric bass,
textural and distorted electric guitars, acoustic guitar, synth and
sampled sounds, as well as didgeridu, tin whistle, conch shell, electric
violin, and flute and you have a powerful, evocative sound in the same
vein as Loreena McKennitt, Enigma, and Dead Can Dance.  At once ancient
and futuristic, HAUNTED BY WATERS seamlessly combine a galaxy of diverse
influences and instrumentation into a cohesive and moving soundscape. 
 
This extravaganza is being held in an atmosphere of mystery, stilt
dancers, trapeze artists, and multimedia. There is an 800 watt sound
system, hardwood floors, video projection, and sensuous lighting. Be
there!    

The CD, "Like the Dust", is now available at Tower record stores
everywhere.
