This posting is a release of exasperation, nothing more. While thumbing through the May 1995 VOGUE, I noticed an article about critics' darlings. The article covered many celebrities from Aimee Mann to Jane Siberry to Woodie Allen. The author defined a darling as one who is not appreciated by the general public but is lauded by critics. Odd, not a single mention of Kate Bush. Doesn't she rate a single mention? Isn't she the critics' darling par excellence? Regardless of ones appreciation of THE RED SHOES, wasn't the work, critically, very well-received? WHAT IS WRONG? WHAT IS WRONG? WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS HAPPENING? ARGHHH! Thank you for reading my expression. Keith --
