KB cache in Boston +Hersh

1) During a routine visit to _Mystery Train_ used record/cd shop on
Newbury Street here in Boston, I was surprised to see that the KB LP
section was a lot thicker than usual. ---Turns out somebody must have sold
of his or her KB collection, 'cause there were about 5-7 different vinyl
boots in there, including one of those vinyl LP's of Cathy Demos. Also
various picture disks and EPs.  I'd seen them all before, and they're
mostly various recordings from her tour, so only the nice packaging on a
few of them make them tempting to me. (Not tempting enough, though).

   Thought anyone in the area might like to check it out.


2)  Kristin Hersh has made several good records as the lead presence of
Throwing Muses.  Her solo record I like a lot, and might point out there's
also an 8-track CD (not an 8-track tape  :)  ) called "Strings" that
offers up some interesting string versions of tunes off of _Hips &
Makers_  (LOVE that title track!).  She put on a really fine, low-key solo
concert at a small theatre in Somerville around the time her album came
out.
