Marc Odo, you are not alone. Myself, I always stop the album after "This Woman's Work" is over so I won't have to hear the next song. Perhaps I am some kind of monstrous Philistine for thinking this, but "Walk Straight Down the Middle" is one of the worst songs in my entire music collection. It's too bad, really; aside from being mildly disappointed by "The Red Shoes" (at least in some places), I have no complaints with anything that Kate has ever done. Ah, well...it is at least heartening to me to know Kate's mistakes are occasional at best. To me, those moments that I consider to be her failures do manage to display her more brilliant works in sharp relief. From many artists, I have learned to expect only mediocrity; Kate's work usually has the scent of genius about it. Mike .......
