Um, what I meant was that I only do that for questions that are
answered on the FAQ.  If someone asks an original question, if
no one answers it THEN I will post it publicly (if I know the
answer at all).  Also, usually when I answer a Frequently Asked
Question, I offer to send whoever asked a copy of the latest FAQ
(and nine out of 10 times they take me up on it).

No, a news group is for people to show off their latest .sig,
to cross-post to alt.religion.kibology, and to basically call
each other a bunch of names.  At least, the news groups I read
are like that.
