Just a weak moment...don't mind me

I feel a little silly sharing this, but I was sitting in my office just now
listening to TRS and "Moments of Pleasure" started playing. I decided to stop
what I was doing and really listen to the song--I've played the album many
times and I always thought MoP a standout track, but I think this was maybe the
first time I *really* let it sink in and wash over me.

All I can say is--well, I don't know that any adjectives I can come up with
would do it justice. And having read on r.m.g. about the people and events
that inspired the song--I'm quite shaken and I feel like I've just read
someone's diary. I am actually having a little bit of a physical reaction to
it--a little flushed and disoriented, and yes, I did have to choke back a tear
or two. I feel grateful when I come to a song I've heard a lot with a sudden
new intensity, but I must say that this has got me a little worried. It
reminds me not a small amount of how Paul McCartney's song "Here Today" (his
song for/about John Lennon) affected me for a good year after the "Tug Of War"
album came out. It still gets to me sometimes; over ten years later.

How wonderful that Kate is willing to share this beautiful, incredibly personal
and moving song with us. I feel most fortunate, really.

Sorry for the interruption; just my $.02 for today. Thanks for reading.
