Sorry I'm hogging the board today. Where's everyone else? I don't have the funny non-ascii characters on my kboard either... I believe Carelian music is kind of Ur-Celtic. We'll have to consult a musicologist, but Celtic culture arrived in what is now the UK from towards those frigid lands inhabited by gnomes and ice-giants and our friend Jukka Sinkko, right? As opposed to Roman or Gallic influences on Britain... Anyway an article I read about V”rttin” said that they could be categorized as Celtic, and listening to them it seems to make sense. Hey, I'm from Japan, gimme a break! Okay...I say, pop music from Okinawa is like Japanese reggae! Hah...I got you!
