värttinä

I was pleased to see the Finnish Värttinä
mentioned few (hundreds?) messages ago.
But the exact line was "Värttinä, Finland, Celtic.
???   The melodies and "style" of Värttinä are
Carelian, which was once part of Finland,
now being the northwestern part of Russia.
IMHO Värttinä is much closer to that Bulgarian
female choir than Celtic.
The word Värttinä means that spinning thing
held in hand when making thread decades ago.
