Bay Area/S.Cruz: This weekend-Tish and Iris!

Hi Everyone, 

This weekend (oct 1 and 2) is the KPIG (104 oink 5) "Fat Fry Festival" in
Santa Cruz at Aptos Park 11 to 7 each day. The main headliners include:

Tish Hinojosa            Iris Dement
Richard Thompson         John Prine
also Peter Rowan,        (more, mostly  
Trout Fishing in           locals)
 America, locals

I'll be there both days, mainly for Tish and Iris (and John Prine, who has
been really cool in his support of Iris (his liner notes in the WB release 
of _Infamous Angel_ are really nice).  Tish is originally from New Mexico, 
via Austin, and sings very pretty ballads and rancheras in Spanish and 
English; she is a special treat.
