One and the same? As you said 'new' is relative, and Boston, Massachusetts *is* *newer* than Boston, Lincolnshire, :. it is new Boston. BTW, I have to admit that I didn't really think Boston, Lincs. was the Boston refered too. It was the way that the original note refered to 'Boston', as though there was only one, since I live near the other I just couldn't resist... :-) Adrian
