Ana hasn't KaTe's range of colors--she doesn't push her voice in as many directions as KaTe. However, she does have a similar intensity and intimacy, and she is an excellent singer in her own right. Like KaTe, Mecano has written songs with surprising subjects: a lesbian affair, the first dog in space, the Dalai Lama, Salvador Dali, a lover who contracts AIDS, the Scott expedition. Anyone who likes KaTe's unconventional subjects might also like Mecano. +----------------------------------+ +-----------------------------+ + "Queremos genios en vida..." + | "Get the bow going, | + - Mecano + | Let it scream to me!" | +----------------------------------+ | - KaTe Bush | +-----------------------------+
