Somehow a sentence in my review of "Big Stripey Lie" got scrambled by
netnews.  This is how it appeared:

   once every several years.  You hear it and for a few minutes it's as
   if you had forgotten how to see colors, you had been living so long in
   a monochrome world that you had forgotten how to see them, and now the
   smoky film has momentarily been removed from your eyes, and you can
   see beautiful colors in all their glory again.
