Well, I don't about the Super Dave part, but Lanois *is* headed to Tunis. 
Mansour Seck just left Mango Records for RealWorld, and his new album is 
being recorded in Tunis rather than Gabriel's studio. Lanois is producing, 
and the interview I read with him mentioned that he was taking a "friend" 
down with him who might show up on the record.
