Contrary to you, I got/get the general feeling that the album's theme is
'sometimes life throws you a curve ball, but don't give up on life just because
it isn't always what you want it to be'

For instance, I like Lily and Rubberband Girl, as well as The Red Shoes. I do
agree that the last track, You're the One, is a sad track...perhaps it should
have been placed closer to the middle of the album as a transitional piece.
