Remember that Details magazine interview with Kate? I finally got round
to reading the interview with Carlos Castaneda in the same issue and
stumbled on two instances of Kate related, purely coincidental, text.

Kate: "They're gonna whip her up like a helicopter"

Carlos: "We don't want to do the work -- we want to be helicoptered to
awareness."

and

Kate: "Have you ever seen a picture of Jesus laughing . . ."

The fellow who interviewed Castaneda: "I picked one (postcard for sale)
and gave her (homeless woman) a dollar. I showed it to Abelar; it was a
picture of Jesus, laughing."

Just an example of what happens when Kate lyrics get stuck in your head!
I wouldn't think anything of the helicopter bit except that for a long
time I thought she was singing "They're gonna wake her up like a helicopter".

This happens to me every time a new Kate album appears! I start humming
the songs everywhere I go and then every time I see a word that appears
in her songs BONG! I have to look at it twice.

Also happens with snatches of songs that have similar chord
configurations or sequences of notes to KateSongs. Heard a fellow on the
street playing a digeridoo last night and began singing Big Sky to myself
as I walked home in the light drizzle/heavy fog.

P.S. I don't think this text thing has any kind of significance, it's just
that the universe is fond of patterns and she repeats herself sometimes.
