I'm a little behind here because of the Thanksgiving holidays, but here's stuff from Billboard, Nov. 27 issue. Some may be old news. 1. "Rubberband Girl" at no. 12 on Modern Rock Tracks. 2. _The Red Shoes_ at no. 55 on the album chart. 3. A review of the album: "Alternative rock icon throws a sumptuous feast of sounds that is destined to take a high place in her body of work. Propulsive first single, 'Eat The Music,' and its followup, 'Rubberband Girl,' have scored at modern rock, and the album is rife with other candidates for that format, like the title cut, 'Constellation Of The Heart,' and 'Big Stripey Lie.' Among Bush's impressive guests are Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Nigel Kennedy, and Prince, whose musical spirit inhabits the cut, 'Why Should I Love You.'" Incidentally, this issue of Billboard also has an article indicating that modern rock radio is gaining listenership. Ed ed@wente.llnl.gov
