Subject: While waiting for the other Red Shoe to drop...
To: love-hounds@uunet.UU.NET
This will only pertain to California Bay Area Love-hounds (or any Love-hound out there with lots of cash & time to spare): On October 8th, the Stanford Theatre (the most beautiful movie theatre in the world) will be showing a rare treat: The ORIGINAL Nitrate-print of the 1948 version of THE RED SHOES! (Starring a whole bunch of people I never heard of). Also playing with it: The Thief of Baghdad (a 1940 pre-Harryhausen Arabian Nights film! It stars Conrad Veidt and a bunch of other folks). This DOUBLE FEATURE is just SIX BUCKS (Less than what one or two people paid to see "The Coneheads"); You can get your ticket at the door, or buy them in advance at the Stanford Theatre box office. E-Mail me for more info. Note: I have NO affiliation with the Stanford Theatre, Stanford University, Hewlett Packard (who pays for a lot of the Theatre), or just about anything else for that matter. - Stev0 the guy who lives at sberlin@tqs.com "Can you prove it didn't happen?" - Plan 9 from Outer Space
