Bzzzzt! Thanks for playing. (always wanted to say that in a post)

Was it lying in the middle of the corridor?

OK, I will. Happy Rhodes isn't just an artist, she's a whole
state of mind. Her voice is impressive no matter what you heard...
she's got an amazing range (which perhaps is not as evident on
Warpaint as on some of her other 5 albums): some people I played
Runners for didn't believe it was one person singing!

Further, it is simply false that "everyone in this newsgroup"
is gaga over her. There are plenty of people who have amply expressed
their lack of interest. That's one reason why there's ecto.
(Although I increasingly believe that Happy Rhodes was more
a catalyst -- a good excuse -- to start ecto, rather than its
raison d'etre; though I'm sure some would disagree.)

Anyway, Warpaint is probably *my* least favorite Happy album.
Try Volume I or II, or the most inspired Ecto, or the most
up-to-date, Equipoise. (You gotta listen several times.)
Then see what you think.
