Yes it's true,Kate has been nominated in the best female singer category!!
Apparrently the BPI chief defended it,to which somebody retorted 'Sandie Shaw
is a good singer so why hasn't she been nominated!!'.This happened in 1988 when
Kate hadn't released anything in the previous year,but at least she'd won it the
previous year!Another possible reason could be to do with Kate's next single
and album,ie EMI have nominated her in hope that they can plug the release or
if that is delayed sell more of the previous releases.Very cynical but I suppose
that is the record industry for you.
