Well, it looks like I picked a winner. Hi. My first Kate experience was last Monday, the 16th. No kidding. The album I chose was none other than The Dreaming. I stumbled on to this news group about a week or so ago, read the FAQ and was so struck by your passionate loyalty that I decided to see (hear) for myself. I had absolutely no idea as to what album to buy for my initiation (the current thread of reminiscent discussion was only just beginning) and was too shy to ask so I chose THE ONE which contained the "title song" of this newsgroup. Wow. After the smoke cleared, I zeroed in on 3 cuts that became instant favorites: Pull Out the Pin, The Dreaming, and All the Love. I don't know why; it's just the way it worked. I'd heard of Kate before some years ago but for some reason never heard any of her stuff. And whenever I was looking for something different in the local record store I never seemed able to remember her as a possibility. I'm on the way to becoming a fan, if not a follower. My only regret is that I've started so late and have so much ground to make up. So I guess it is possible to become hooked through The Dreaming... Andrew Holtum
