I'd have no problm with a newsgroup dedicated to female artists,
but I'd vote no for rec.music.enya the second it appeared on my
screen. I dedicate my life to finding and exposing other people to
interesting female artists, and "ethereal" is just about my favorite
type of female vocals (though I'd suspect that my definition of
"ethereal" might be different from others) but if the group is going
to be named after Enya, forget it. Don't get me wrong, I love Enya
and I was playing her on my show *long* before she became hip with
the WAVE crowd. (Backup of that statement: According to my playlists,
I played Enya on the air on July 10, 1988 for the first time)

Still, rec.music.enya makes me wary to the point that I won't even
consider a yes vote. Why not rec.music.jane? rec.music.happy? (She has
5 albums to Enya's 3) rec.music.cocteaus? on and on and on...

Enya fans...start a mailing list.
