Well! You might be pleased to know that the Falling Joys have finished
recording their next album in London, and are back in Sydney preparing
it for release next year. They're also releasing a long-form video,
including three songs filmed live at Selina's in Sydney.

Their last release was the "Jennifer" single, which came with two
versions of "Jennifer" and three live tracks. Jennifer is Suzie's
sister -- Suzie writes almost all the Joy's songs.

Suzie and her friend Andrea Croft of Catherine Wheel (not the UK one)
have just released a collaborative four-track EP under the name
Splinter, which is much darker than their usual work. It's excellent.

And now another pointer: If you like the Falling Joys, you'll like the
Clouds, another Sydney band that I'm fond of. Their debut album Penny
Century on Redeye doesn't have USA release yet, but it's worth looking
or waiting for.

Disclosure: punter, fan.
