I saw Virginia Astley in concert many years ago. The place was "The Venue", London. Actually Virginia and her band was the support act for "Eyeless in Gaza" and "The Armoury show", but after having heard VA I couldn't care less about the main acts - I was in a trans. :-) Her music is very original, very English - so English that you can allmost touch it :-) - very attractive and also very simple. It's not that much like Kate's but there is something similar in the atmosphere. "The Morning Fog" (my favourite Kate song) reminds me of Virginia Astley. Anyone into Kate, and especially anyone into English female artists should check out Virginia Astley. The only problem is that I have no idea where to get her records. I found both of them in a small record shop near Piccadilly, London. (I think she's only done two, but I'm not sure). Regards, Timo -- Stream Technologies Inc.
